A leading food manufacturer had took over a unit in the north west and called in Protective Surface Coatings to provide a hard wearing, slip resistant, seamless vinyl safety floor covering.

Protective Surface Coatings prepared the existing old worn concrete surface with a diamond grinding machine and repaired all holes and cracks.

After this stage the total floor area with nominal 6mm self levelling compound to provide a level surface for the vinyl.

Once the screed was dry, Protective Surface Coatings specialist floor layers could begin to measure and lay the sheet vinyl.

As it was a food preparatory environment, sit on 150mm coving around the perimeter was specified.

The final process for sheet vinyl was to thermo weld all the seems to provide a seamless surface.

The total contract took 4 days to complete, providing the client with a decorative, anti-slip, hard wearing, seamless surface, perfect for heavy foot traffic in the food manufacturing sector.
