Garage Auto Workshop

1800 sq metres of epoxy resin coating system laid at Greenhous DAF garage workshop in the West Midlands.

Greenhous DAF are a major vehicle company, specialising in repairing vans, trucks and articulated wagons.

Protective Surface Coatings was contacted to refurbish the floor area in the workshop. The existing floor surfaces were in a very bad condition and heavily contaminated with oil.

Greenhous DAF was looking for an imperious, hardwearing floor surface, with separate walkways & demarcation areas for the vehicles.

Protective Surface Coatings provided specialist floor preparation to achieve a perfect finish to receive the epoxy resin system. All floor areas were prepared using the shot blasting, dimound grinding and Von Ark scarification floor surface preparation systems. Areas that were heavily contaminated with oil received a special oil neutralising primer.

After all areas were thoroughly prepared Protective Surface Coatings laid two coats of high build heavy duty epoxy resin flooring systems to the total area. Mid grey was chosen for the workshop floor and dark green for demarcation lines in epoxy resin to highlight the separate vehicle areas.

The new floor was completed over a Bank Holiday weekend, providing the client with a durable easily to clean professional floor.
