Manufacturing 3000 sq metres of polyurethane self-levelling screed laid at Lister Pelter Engines in the West Midlands. Lister Pelter Engines are a major engine manufacturer that supplies Caterpillar and JCB vehicles. Protective Surface Coatings were contracted to refurbish all production area floors. Lister Pelter wanted a heavy duty, seamless surface that could withstand the harshest of environments. Protective Surface Coatings provided specialist floor preparation to achieve a perfect finish to receive the polyurethane screed. All floor areas are prepared using the shot blasting & diamond grinding floor surface preparation system. After all areas were thoroughly prepared swept & vacuumed, all damaged concrete holes & cracks were repaired using epoxy mortar compound. Protective Surface Coatings then laid a 5mm polyurethane self-levelling screed to 3000 sq metres, including under all production machines. The new floor was completed in 7 days providing a highly durable, seamless surface that could withstand excessive forklift use. |
